This new 1-day course will provide a comprehensive overview of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) and its application in frontline roles.
Understanding PIE is crucial for those directly interacting with clients, tenants, and stakeholders, as it enables the creation of supportive and effective environments that cater to psychological and emotional needs.
Through this course, you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to enhance your daily interactions, improve service delivery, and promote the wellbeing of those you support.
This course will support you to:
- Understand the principles of PIE: Gain a foundational understanding of what Psychologically Informed Environments are and why they are important in frontline work.
- Create Emotionally Supportive Environments: Learn how to establish and maintain environments that are sensitive to the psychological needs of clients and tenants.
- Enhance Client Interactions: Develop skills to improve the quality of your interactions with clients and tenants, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and supported, through trauma-informed practice.
- Recognise and Respond to Psychological Needs: Identify the psychological and emotional needs of those you support and respond effectively to promote their wellbeing.
- Manage Challenging Situations: Learn strategies to handle difficult situations and behaviours in a compassionate and effective manner.
- Fostering Trusting Relationships: Build and Maintain positive, trusting relationships with clients, tenants, and other stakeholders.
- Promote Mental Wellbeing: Implement practices that support and enhance the mental health and resilience of clients and tenants.
- Reflect on Practice: Develop a reflective approach to your work, allowing for continuous improvement based on PIE principles.
