Most people are aware of Universal Credit (UC), but understanding how it works isn’t always easy. This one day practical course covers Universal Credit from the basics upwards and will provide a comprehensive overview of all aspects of Universal Credit that may be affecting you and your clients.
The course will provide a good opportunity to get to grips with UC and to share experiences and challenges.

- Understand all aspects of the UC claiming, administration and payment processes, including how to work it out and the effect of work and changes of circumstance
- Use excellent tools and resources which you can then signpost to clients and colleagues
- Identify problems, pitfalls and solutions
- Network effectively with other local workers, and share experiences and contacts

Suitable for staff in support roles who need to feel confident and up to date with their UC knowledge, especially if they are new to the subject or feeling a bit rusty!
Course level: Introductory
This course is pitched at an introductory level and will assume no previous knowledge of UC. People who need a more technical update to their existing UC knowledge are invited to book on the very timely ‘Universal Credit: The Problem Areas’ which will be running on 15th October 2019.
