This new interactive course is designed to equip front-line workers with the knowledge and skills required to effectively support individuals who have been involved in the criminal justice system.

Participants will reflect on the challenges faced by ex-offenders, develop effective communication and relationship-building strategies, and gain an understanding of the legal and ethical considerations when working with ex-offenders.

This course will support you to:

  • recognise the challenges faced by ex-offenders when reintegrating into society and reflect on the impact this has on individuals.
  • develop effective communication and relationship-building strategies for working with ex-offenders.
  • understand the legal and ethical considerations for working with ex-offenders.
  • develop an action plan for transferring the acquired knowledge and skills to the workplace.
  • Identify and signpost to resources and support networks.
