Alan is a psychotherapist, trainer, and counselling tutor. After completing his undergraduate studies in Psychology, Alan trained in therapeutic counselling and later in clinical supervision. His roles have included NHS settings, education settings, charitable counselling agency settings, and voluntary mentoring roles. Alan has worked in different clinical settings dealing with referrals for a wide spectrum of presenting mental health concerns, including common mental health problems as well as psychosis. His role has often involved triage, assessment, and allocation of new referrals, as well as line management and supervision of clinical staff.
