Iain began his career working in and then managing various Therapeutic Communities for “disturbed adolescents.” Since then he has specialised in adolescent and forensic mental health in a wide range of settings. Through IMPACT he has become involved with a very broad range of sectors including: social services, (mental) health, housing, youth and community, education, offender management, police, security services, the clergy and just about every sector where people come in contact with one another.
Despite his interest in clinical work he is better known for his “dramatic” training. The drama is not merely to entertain but to illustrate the application of good practice in situations where great confusion may reign and professionals may be under considerable duress. The training is intended to be cutting edge, relevant, meaningful, effective and memorable.
